About GMP Excelam Q1600RS (Cold)

The GMP range of wide format laminators are available in three model variants including the new Display 64 Combi model which offers a market leading 50 mm mounting capability and new Touchscreen Capacitive Control Display. The model variants are
- Cold (Pressure Only) – Ideal low cost option, perfect for mounting and signage/graphics applications
- Combi (Heated Top Roller) – A heated top roller which heats to 50 degrees C, aids curing process and removes gassing or silvering effect which speeds up turnaround and production times.
- Double Heat (Top & Bottom Rollers fully heated) – These models (Q1100RS & Q1670RS) offer the ultimate flexibility as they can produce all cold and heat assist (Combi) applications as well as encapsulation up to 1,600 mm widths. You could even use these models for short run narrow format digital utilising our UltraBond films! Ideal for the copy shop, sign maker or graphics company who demands one machine for every application, great if you a tight on space for equipment.

Unlike every other model on offer today GMP use specialist silicone rubber compound rollers which are Crown Ground to provide the perfect and most reliable pressure application across the full width of the machine. The Crown Grinding technology on the rollers is unique to GMP and basically means the rollers are thicker in the middle than they are at the edges similar, to a Crown Green Bowling lawn. This subtle difference spreads the pressure across the roller and prevents uneven applications and ensures perfect results on every material.

The new Display 64 Combi model incorporates GMP’s latest capacitive touch panel display with clear LCD indication. Instant touch button setup and memory function for repeat work tied with class leading 50 mm mount capability and throughput speeds of up to 6.5 metres per minute make the Display Combi a real force in the graphics and signage markets.
All the controls can be understood in seconds enabling you to get on with the job of finishing your work quickly, accurately and efficiently.
