The Paper Shredding Machines at Security Level P7 often
incorporate 2 separate pairs of shredding heads, as a result the shredded waste
is shredded again before being deposited in the waste bin.
The 1st pair of Paper Shredding Shafts shred the documents to
security Level P5 for Security Level P7 machines, although level P5 is highly
confidential it is not sufficient for highest levels of security to be
maintained. The 2nd Pair of Paper Shredding Shafts re shreds the document again
to Levels P7 which to the naked eye is complete dust particles, in actual fact
the finished particle size for Security Level P7 is 0.8mm x 5mm.
It
is common for this level of security to be expected and in some cases made compulsory
in order to comply with Government, Military or USA standards. Security Level
P7 Paper Shredding Machines, the Super Micro Cut shredding machines, have been
invented for the US Military and US Government and take document destruction to
a new level. It is compulsory for US Military and US Government secure
documentation to be destroyed to Security Level P7, therefore throughout the US
and within US Military and US Government institutions in the UK it is classed
as the minimum acceptable standard for secure waste to be shredded to. Again,
if you are working with the US Government or US Military you should check your
terms and conditions to ensure you remain compliant with their security
procedures.
