How do Automatic Binding Machines work?

Automatic binding machines use hot glue and apply it to the spine of a stack of documents, before a wrap around cover is then applied to the glue to produce a traditional paperback book. 

As well as this the machines pass the document stack through a high speed milling and notching process - roughening the back of the book and allowing the glue to truly penetrate into the creation. 

Providing a quick process, without sacrificing on a professional look, an automatic binding machine could take anywhere from a few minutes to up to 24 hours to have a fully finished product - dependent on the glue you use.
